Learn how lifestyle and activities of daily living impact adverse reactions that impact of the feet, hips, and thoracic spine on low back biomechanics. Students will develop functional strategies to improve conditions and be a relieving remedy for problems such as sacroiliac dysfunction, low back pain, spinal fusion, scoliosis, spinal stenosis, and the chain reaction upon spinal movements. Learn a regressive to progressive approach to improve functional strength and return to play for clients with back pain.

Learning Objectives

In this course you'll:

  1. Understand the functional anatomy of the foot, lower extremity, hip, 
and spine
  2. Appreciate strategies implementing the 6 Flexibility Highways: the 
Anterior, Posterior, Lateral, the X- Factors, and the "Turnpike"
  3. Reduce risk of injury by understanding the chain reaction of 
movement and learn important trends that may precipitate an injury 
risk
  4. Develop strategies to regress then progress your clients for 
improved movement from the "Big Movement Rocks” for improved low back function and strength

Chuck Wolf

In the fitness and sports performance industry worldwide, there are only a few names that come to mind when you think functional anatomy, movement analysis, function and advanced program design, Chuck Wolf is one of these. Chuck has been teaching workshops, presenting at conferences, running seminars with fitness professionals through to elite athletes of many different sports all over the world. Currently sought after as one of the industry’s top educators, Chuck brings a whole new approach to how we look and train the body.

Chuck has a Masters of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology from George Williams College, and specializes in Applied Biomechanics. He presently is the Director of Human Motion Associates, in Orlando, Florida, consulting with clients ranging from the rehabilitation setting to professional athletes of the highest level. Chuck works extensively with many of the top 50 PGA players in the world and also has worked with numerous professional baseball players and other high level athletes. He has emerged as a leader of functional anatomy and biomechanics within the fitness and sports performance industries and works extensively with internal medicine physicians, orthopedic specialists, neurosurgeons, and physical therapists addressing musculoskeletal issues and developing corrective exercise programs. Chuck has presented at many national and international conferences and written numerous articles and produced many educational videos in the areas of human motion, sports science, and human performance
