DescriptionThe BASI Comprehensive Teachers Training course is the most rigorous in the business, and a student needs to pass all of it in order to be accredited as a teacher by BASI. There are no half-measures. As the term comprehensive implies, this course is NOT splintered into individual apparatus and many levels, as some programs are; it is about the whole. BASI believes that a teacher needs to be familiar with it all. This also avoids confusion for members of the public, who often have to decide between teachers; one, say, who has graduated from level one Reformer and another who has completed a comprehensive Pilates course. They both present themselves as Pilates teachers and both have certificates of completion. But, in the eyes of BASI, there is no comparison. A CTTC graduate has both the knowledge and the accreditation to teach students of all levels on all apparatus. We do not give partial accreditation for a partial education. It may sound severe, but it maintains the extremely high standard of our education and it avoids misinterpretation. There is never any question about what a BASI-trained teacher is, or is not, qualified to teach. There is also a financial dimension. With BASI you know what the cost of the course is right up front; there are no additional requirements or supplementary costs. Compare the cost of our one, comprehensive course with the cumulative costs of all the courses you have to take at other institutes to achieve a similar level of expertise. You’ll be amazed at how reasonable our price really is.

DescriptionThis course is designed to meet the growing demand for Pilates teachers specializing in mat work. Many locations do not have access to Pilates apparatus, yet see the enormous potential of the method. Offering the Mat work is a perfect solution. It is affordable, easy to integrate into many different settings and introduces people to the foundation of Pilates. There is no part of the Pilates system that exemplifies the principles of the method, particularly flow, quite as well as the Mat work. Students study the full complement of Mat Work exercises and the integration of small apparatus into the Mat program. BASI encourages students who master this program to use it as a springboard to the Comprehensive Teacher Training Program.
