Description

Circuit training remains one of the most popular formats for group and small-group training. In this session, you will experience a minimum of 12 innovative and challenging exercises designed for a strength training circuit workout. Learn how to incorporate body weight exercises and those that use small studio equipment into a circuit workout that focuses on functional strength.   2. Explain the functional aspects and biomechanics of resistance training.
  3. Identify a variety of resistance exercises for strength that can be used in a circuit training workout.
  4. List a variety of studio-based equipment that can be used in the circuit training room for strength workouts.
  5. Describe how to effectively and safely increase or decrease the intensity of a strength circuit training workout.
  6. Execute appropriate instructional cueing to effectively and safely teach a strength circuit training workout.

Fred Hoffman, M.Ed., is the owner of Fitness Resources Consulting Services and the author of Going Global: An Expert’s Guide to Working Abroad in the International Fitness Industry.
