Description
This continuing education course reviews the evidence indicating how exercise can benefit cancer survivors, as well as many of the challenges specific to working with this population. You will learn how you can best support cancer survivors in finding an exercise program that meets their needs, or even get started on developing a program yourself. You’ll gain an understanding of the symptoms and side effects and how to connect with the cancer support community. Research supports the benefits of exercise for clients who have cancer, and this will show you how to leverage the research for programming.
