Description

“The knee bone’s connected to the thigh bone; the thigh bone’s connected to the hip bone; the hip bone’s connected to the back bone..." With 206 bones in the human body, that song could go on for quite a while. Bones serve a number of important roles, and this continuing education course will give you a better understanding of what those roles are and how to maintain healthy bones. Through this course, you’ll gain knowledge on bone architecture and growth and become familiar with the research on exercise, nutrition and bone health. You’ll also learn the roles of calcium and vitamin D in maintaining optimum bone health, as well as discover the factors that place women at an increased risk for osteoporosis and bone injuries and how an increase in bone health will decrease the chances for injury or disease in women. So much great information in just one course!
