This lower body exercise progression uses a weighted bar. If you don't have one, you could try a dowel or even a broom. These exercises really work the lower body. Start with a drop step. Step diagonally back, sinking into that back foot, and push back to your start position. And then go to the other side. As the progression, add some rotation, bringing the core muscles into the picture. So as you step back, rotate the bar across that leg and then push back. Then do it again on the other side. Our third and final progression brings a Russian twist into the picture and more core. Rotate two times, step back and then swing straight into the other side using momentum, using the core, and training the lower body.
