I use TRX, Bands, the Power Wheel, Kettlebells, and whatever else that fits the needs of my clients. No one modality will do everything that somebody needs.

Definitely the soft foam roller which I use to teach my MELT classes. I always have a few new ones with me because they sell like hot cakes.
I agree that using one piece of equipment too much can set you up for failure. I jump from stability ball to medicine ball and resistance bands for most workouts.
I certainly do love my "toys"!
But my favorite workout toy has been the TRX for 2 years now!
Interval circuits combining cardio and body weight exercises and then following up with stretching.
It does it all for me!

My mountain bike is my preferred exercise right now. Racoon Mtn is opening 35 new miles of single track in January... I'm soooo excited!

Your own body! Take a break from the toys and get creative and back to basics using your own body weight.
I love so many things-TRX, stability ball, med ball, BOSU, bands and last but not least dumbbells.
