Hi Esteleta,
your question somehow got chopped off, and I am not sure what it is you are asking about.

If you are looking for options to zumba, either to enter back as an instructor, or for your own fitness, there are things you can consider. Have you had a full physical to look at your knees and get some feedback on what activities are helpful and which harmful, are they arthritic, do you have old injuries. Knowing what your baseline is will help with either question.
Depending on what is going on with your knees you could try silver sneakers, or Tai chi, or chair yoga, or in fact the adaptive form of any type of exercise. You could also try transitioning to water aerobics.
If you are comfortable doing the format yourself, and if your medical advisor does not advise against that type of exercise then it is a relatively simple thing to find out what the requirements are to begin teaching again. I suspect if you haven't been teaching you probably havent been doing your renewals and CECs, so you would likely have to sit for the exam again.
best of luck

If you are looking for options as an alternative, I highly recommend aquatic exercise. Contact me through my profile if you want to discuss some options.
If you are looking to get back into teaching, contact Zumba if you are uncertain about your status as an instructor.
Best of luck to you.

Hi Esteleta,
Please restate your question, it did get cut off for some reason.... Do you want to teach or find new classes that don't aggravate the knees?
I think we can give you better advice if we know exactly what you are asking!

Hi Esteleta,
There's no sin in taking time off, but did you fulfill your certification requirements? If not, you're going to have to re-do it. Certification organizations are big businesses & that's just how it goes - don't get me started! Good luck Esteleta.

If you are looking to return to Zumba, it depends on your current status.
Did you join ZIN at the time you got your license and if so, are you still a ZIN? If you're still a ZIN and you feel ready to return to teaching, you are good from a licensing standpoint.
If you were a ZIN but left ZIN, or if you never joined ZIN to begin with, then you'd need to take your basic Zumba license course (B1) again. Without joining ZIN, your B1 license is good for one year, at which point you would either retake B1 or take B2.

(above answer applies only with respect to licensing requirements for Zumba, not for a primary group-ex certification or other fitness formats)
