I taught a hoop-rope class years ago that combined jump roping, hoop and plyo in one class. At the time (1995) there was very little available on subject, still little as compared to other fitness disciplines. However, the same methods of plyo and kickboxing (boxing, kenpo, etc) apply here. Be creative and artful in your quest to train with hoop, make it an art and a science. Use kinesiology to define your movements and then create a solid program base don your client’s needs. I remember having myself and a few clients who could hoop while kneeling on a stability ball! -Marc D. Thompson, www.VirtualHomeFitness.com
