I am not familiar with "Smart Fitness" however I am certified through the National Council for Certified Personal Trainers. I was impressed with the set up. I own an iPad so the online access for study materials was easy (you can purchase the book for pretty inexpensive) I also really liked having access to the videos online. This field was completely new to me, I had taken 7 years of French had never taken a science class I didn't need to. It was helpful. Where I am located the gyms are not to particular who you are certified through when it comes to Resumes. I was able to drive to a town within an hour to take the exam (or could do so online). My study guide and practice exam were inexpensive and thoroughly helped me prepare for the exam. Anytime I had a question I called or emailed NCCPT and was helped quickly and often by the same person. I would highly recommend them. Their ceu are a little more limited than lets say ACE or ACSM but not to the point where I will have trouble getting them. For me it was important that I was able to understand my education, pass the exam, and have it be cost and time effective. NCCPT was all of this.
I haven't heard of this. Anybody want to tell me what it is and what they think of it?
I have never heard of them, but when I looked at their site it looks like a good deal. I haven't put too much thought in it, but I will have to search this a bit more before I give you an answer. Thanks for putting this up.
